How It All Began...

Hey there! We’re so excited to share the story behind Scooba Goo – it’s a tale of family, adventure, healthy living, and a whole lot of love for the outdoors. I’m Ainslie, and my partner-in-creation (and life) is Justin. Together, we’re on a mission to bring you a sunscreen that’s not just safe and effective but also inspired by the joy of exploring the world around us.

We’ve always been big on living life to the fullest – chasing fun, making memories, and staying mindful about the choices we make. We’re both huge DIY fans, constantly tinkering with homemade creations (our tallow balm is also a family favorite – stay tuned for the next launch coming soon!). But the real spark for Scooba Goo came from our incredible daughters. Between us, we have three amazing girls – two teens and a preschooler – each at a different stage in life, and all an inspiration to us every single day.

The idea behind Scooba Goo began on a family trip to Mexico with the older crew. The girls have fostered a deep love for the ocean and scuba diving, and we understand the sensitivity surrounding the reefs to use proper sunscreen that is safe and not harmful to the ecosystem...this is incredibly hard to find!  We needed a sunscreen that was SAFE, EFFECTIVE, and NATURAL. Something we could trust on our kids’ skin and that wouldn’t harm the beautiful ocean we were enjoying. Justin, being the genius he is, got to work right away.

What he created was nothing short of magic – a sunscreen that felt incredible, worked like a charm, and was made with just 5 organic ingredients. We knew instantly that this wasn’t just for us; it was something the world needed too.

Scooba Goo became our way of combining everything we love – family, adventure, healthy living, and a deep respect for nature. It’s also a chance to build something meaningful for our daughters – a business they can grow with, learn from, and be proud of.

Made by hand in Canada with love, Scooba Goo is more than just sunscreen. It’s a celebration of outdoor exploration, a commitment to protecting what we love, and a way to share our passion with the world.
